Totally agree with all this Steve.  If it&#039;s easy to do something we&#039;re all more likely to do it.  If there&#039;s heaps of preperation to do before you go fishing &amp; you&#039;re only going to be there for a few hours its all too easy for the &quot;can&#039;t be bothered&quot; syndrome to creep in.

I find the same thing with short floater / stalking sessions in the summer - I only want to go for a few hours so the thought of sorting through all my normal gear just to extract the stalking stuff is enough to put me off.

My answer was to get a complete stand-alone set up ready in the garage.  Not as difficult or expensive as you might think.  One of the good stalking jackets fly fishermen use has pockets to carry oodles of gear &amp; most of us have a spare net &amp; a dedicated stalking rod.

So they all just sit in a separate corner of the garage waiting for those all to rare occasions I get the time to go - but at least I don&#039;t have an excuse for not going!</description>
