Maximum pellet attraction
by Roy van Goor
I just got back from a trip to France that opened my eyes on the reaction and attraction of maximum action pellets.
I struggled hard, the water temperature was very low about 6 degrees and the fish just did not seem to be moving. Using my bait boat with the echo sounder I could see some fish holding up in mid-water, on a far marginal shelf. The depth was about 15 feet and the fish where in 8 feet of water.
But nothing seemed to get them interested.
I had brought some bags of the Rahja Spice Maximum action Pellets with me, but had never used them before… I had just brought them in case.
Well I’m very happy that I did. I decided to use 500g per rod and combine them with the Rahja spice 15mm ready made boilies that I was using. I broke some baits in half to make different sizes and added them to the pellets
In the morning I re-baited my rods and I dropped the baits in the same area I had seen the fish.

When I dropped the baits I could see a big cloud appearing from the pellets that started to dissolve
Only 2 hours later I was in to my first fish I caught 1 more that evening. Both had been on the Rahja spice boilies combined with the pellets.
What I noticed was that the fish had little snails on them…a common sign of what looked to be a sign of fish that are not very active.
I really think that the maximum action pellets made the difference in this session. They attracted the fish on to the baited area, and made them feed on the boillies.
Have a look at the video on the Quest baits website you can see the way the maximum response pellets work underwater leaving a nice area around the hook bait with the same base as the boilies are.
