One of my massive secrets of 2010 !

Thought I would share this with you Quest Baits Blog readers.
One or two of you may of heard about this line but have you used it ?
I was on it all last year and I know one of the biggest names in end tackle will have this under their name very soon.

Now when I’m not using braid on french rivers or the big lakes , I use this ‘Yo-Zuri Hybrid’.
Its by far 50% better than any line I’ve ever used , and I’ve used most over the years.

At the begining of last year the only place to get this stuff was from America, where it has been hugely succesfull on the big game scene. It’s like braid with no stretch untill you hook a fish and then it seems to let go and then be slightly stretchy, thats what big game anglers say anyway.

Its virtually invisible, amazing to cast with and the 12lb breaks at 18lb. It is also very cost effective and I have found the colour green is the one to buy as the clear is a bit stiffer. The best thing is you can get it in England  as well!
Try it and let us know, but keep it to yourself for a while!

Thanks

I would like to hear what type of camera you use ?
Over the last 3 years I’ve had two Canon digital SLR,s but couldn’t get on with them, despite being advised by one of the best and filmed with him (Tony Davies Patrick – AKA Globetrotter).
Six months ago I purchased a Canon SX10IS and it is totaly amazing – perfect for the carp angler. The face recognition is amazing for self takes – even in the dark. Simply pull the screen out, flip it round so you can see yourself before you take the picture, set to face recognition, and how many shots you want it to take and you are away.
When lifting the fish up just dont stare directly at camera , (look at screen through corner of your eye)
then when ready stare directly at camera and wahey it takes the pics with about 3 seconds inbetween shots ,
so you can see what the camera is taking whilst your holding the fish. It’s perfect for me. Another massive feature is the zoom, 600 times, and 200 digital, 800x amazing ,no need for binoculars any more!

Have a look at this peice of kit , you wont be disappointed.

Now lets see what you all use …

Best wishes

One peice of none fishing tackle I wouldn’t be without is the amazing Mosquito Repeller. I have had a couple of these for a few years now and must say they reallyare excellent and only cost a few pounds off ebay. I used to suffer very badly by mosquitos but no more,
I’ve used these on very bad mosquito infested places in France such as La Horre and Salagou and they honestly work. Just 2 x AA batterys and they last weeks simply letting out a very high frequency tone which you can hardly hear. I find that one is enough for the places I have fished in England but I do use two in France and nothing comes in the bivvy. I also think they keep flys away. Very good product I wouldn’t be without.

Mark Parry asks…

Hello,  I would just like your thoughts on size of hooks for different sizes of baits, now I’ve always used a size 8 for 16mm baits, size 4 for 20mm baits , whats your thoughts ?
