I think this is clearly a case of two stories mingling into one as a common was found dead the same day as Martin caught his fish. Nice to see Martin and his new record get good coverage on Chris Evans 1st breakfast show standing in the shoes of Terry Wogan on Radio 2 to-day. Someone put a post on the Quest Baits Facebook saying he had heard this fish had died.

I think this is clearly a case of two stories mingling into one as a common was found dead the same day as Martin caught his fish.

I personally believe the record will go 100lb within 2 years assuming Rainbow doesn't suffer a fish kill similar to the one at raduta a few years back. I can't see Scar making that weight at Graviers though as it doesn't get the bait Rainbow gets. I am pretty sure the first person to break the 100lb barrier will become famous over night and that there may even be a financial sum offered to catch it.
