Hi Steve,
In response to your question, i have used the Gardner rucksack for the last 2 seasons and have found it to be an excellent bit of kit. All the stitching etc is still intact, has are all the zips and 'clips', something which has always let me down on other luggage after prolonged use.
Has regards its weatherproof capabilities, there are no problems at all. Mine has been it some right downpours (very often strapped to the back of my motorbike!) and has never really let any water in.
All in all a very good value for money bit of luggage. Hope this helps.

                 Best Regards,
                                   Pat Gillett

Good review Pat, I've been looking to pick up a new backpack for next summers fishing season as the one I have at the moment has had it. Did you get this pack wet at all? And if you did how well did it keep out the moisture? I'm not thinking of using it in any downpours but I presume I will be caught out in some light rain from time to time.

Cheers, Steve.

Hi Ron,
Not sure how big the Korum bag is but i have got the following sizes from the Gardner advertising :

'Large main compartment, big enough to hold an SLR camera case and two flasks of tea!
Size (main compartment): Height = 37cm, Width = 35cm, Depth = 28cm
Size (including all pockets): Height = 50cm, Width = 50cm, Depth = 34cm'

I would say these sizes are about right, hope this helps,

                   Cheers,
                             Pat

Hi Pat, Nice review. Is the bag any bigger than the Korum rucksack. I carry a digital SLR which takes us most of the room in my Korum bag

Cheers Room
