Here is the list of the Quest Baits Bloggers:

Shaun Harrison: Quest Baits boss Shaun Harrison has put thirty years of experience into developing his range of carp baits ” This bait range is the culmination of the bait knowledge I’ve gained throughout my carp fishing career, a journey which started in the 1970’s. It has truly been a long and winding road – frustrating at times, fascinating and rewarding at others….. Our range you’ll only find proven baits, ones I use myself  e-mail:shaun@questbaits.com

Elie GodsiElie Godsi : Elie Godsi has been carp fishing for over thirty years (since before the hair rig!) and over that time has always remained interested in fishing for other species such as barbel, chub, perch, crucian carp and pike. He’s also travelled extensively and fished for many different species of fish all around the world. Elie has caught several big carp including fish of over forty pounds from three different countries. His UK pb is a 49lb 11oz mirror and his best ever fish was 55lb 4oz mirror from France. e-mail: borntofish55@googlemail.com

Jim KellyJim Kelly : I have a full time job as a mathematics consultant and usually only get to fish every other weekend. My first dabble at carp fish was way back in 1982. I only fish for carp as there just isn’t enough time to fish for anything else. I have fished a vast range of English waters from small ponds, large silty meres and 200 acre gravel pits. I only fish waters I find pleasing to the eye. My other hobbies include table tennis and going to the pub. e-mail: jim.kelly@staffordshire.gov.uk

Pat GillettPat Gillett : I have been fishing since I was 5 years old & up to about 10 years ago I more or less fished for carp throughout the season. However, more recently I have changed my fishing to give me more variety and I believe more of a challenge. I generally fish for carp from March to October (with perhaps the odd large bream session thrown in) and from October onwards my thoughts will move on to the rivers for mainly barbel, but targeting chub or pike if I feel the conditions are too cold for the barbel. The waters I fish vary from a river which is in parts only a rod length wide to a 170 acre reservoir. e-mail:Pat.Gillett@ge.com

Paul Cooper with fish

Paul Cooper : I first started fishing around the age of 10years and it was not until I was 18years of age that I caught my first carp of around 10lb. I have slowly progressed with my fishing with numerous thirties, forties, along with a couple of fifty pound carp under my belt, the largest being 55lb 6oz from a lake in the Limoges region of France. I have been a member of the Mangrove syndicate for the last eight years and have fished numerous lakes, from estate lakes to large meres and gravel pits. e-mail: Paulcooperscfc@aol.com

Samantha CollinsSamantha Collins-Ratcliffe: A school teacher and carper, I’ve been fishing now for 5 years after my partner got me into it when I went to Suffolk on a 5 day session with him, caught my first cCarp and since then I’ve been hooked!  I’ve caught carp from 2 different continents and go to France a number of times a year. When I started going to France I used to take the same bait as the boys I went with, but then three years ago I decided to try and gain that “edge” and take a bait different to them. So I rang Shaun at Quest Baits and ordered some Fruity Trifle, I started to catch a fair amount of fish and from that day on I’ve consistently used Quest and caught my PB’s with it. e-mail: scott.ratcliffe@hotmail.co.uk

Jamie Simpson picJamie Simpson: I am a 35 year old engineer. I’m married with a 16 month old son called Lucas. Due to this my angling time is somewhat limited at the moment to a weekend each fortnight with a few evening sessions thrown in where possible. I have been predominantly fishing for Carp for the last 19 years although I do occasionally still get the match gear out for a bit of fun in the summer months. e-mail: jamie.simpson1@ntlworld.com

Ron Key: I’ve fished as long as I can remember, and carp fished since the late seventies. I moved onto the Southern circuit waters in the early eighties in search of bigger fish, starting on Longfield which is now known as the infamous as Fox Pool. It was a great move and and opened my eyes to some of the amazing early developments in rigs and bait.
At a fish-in nearly twenty years ago; a chance meeting with one of the early pioneers started my French fishing, concentrating mainly on the huge French lakes and rivers. One of my proudest captures is a 52lb 10 oz mirror from Lac du St Cassien which is probably my favourite water. I am the Secretary and Membership Secretary for the British Carp Study Group. e-mail: carpfisher@tiscali.co.uk
Spencer Humble: I grew up in the Famous  Darenth Valley and being surrounded by well known anglers  I guess I was destined to become a Carp angler. I’ve been angling since the age of four and carp angling for 19 years now. I’m a B.C.S.G. member with UK Carp  up to 56lb  to my name and have had articles published in  various Carp magazines. I work hard at my angling and have been successful everywhere I have applied myself despite working 55 hours a week and having a young family. Proof that the average man can still catch large English Carp on limited time. email:  spencer.humble@hotmail.com

Mark Parry: Hello, I’ve been a carp angler since I was 14 thats nearly 26 years now (2010)!
For most of my English fishing I’ve targeted the difficult large Cheshire meres and have had good results with fish to 38lb. I am currently a member of the famous Mangrove syndicate in Shropshire.
For the last 10years I’ve concentrated most of my fishing in France and used to run a well known tour company up untill 2 years ago. I have great knowledge of a lot of lakes and rivers in France  and try to do at least 5 weeks a year over there,
Hope to see you all on the bank some time. mark.cp@hotmail.com
