Back behind the rods at last!

Finally after a break of nearly three months, Ive managed to get back out angling, my first chance since becoming a Quest baits consultant. Only a day session, but  a session nonetheless!  I’d planned to get up at 4am and hit the dreaded M25, Essex bound, however excitement got the better of me and I was up at 2! I arrived of course in darkness, however I knew where I was heading from what the Syndicate leader had told me had been happening. The fish had been showing in a certain area, however nothing had been hooked for nearly three months.

The session was only really ever meant to be a preparatory one before getting back to things seriously.

I took along a selection of Quests finest

The difficult part of having so many wonderful baits at your disposal is deciding which one to use, so this trip would be a chance to have a little play and decide on which bait I was going to concentrate my efforts with in 2010 and to set the wheels in motion.  I prefer to stick with one bait for a good period, establishing it as a food for the Carp.

Quests baits undoubtedly work instantly, so establishing a bait is far from neccesary,   however I am hunting a wily old Common and I want everything in my favour. One percent more chance is one percent more chance of me having a picture in my album Im desparate for!

The day was stunning, Spring is finally in the air and at last us Carpers actually stand a chance after a long old Winter. I remained fishless, however saw two good sized Carp show, and before leaving, gave them a small amount of the new Chilli Chocolate baits to tide them over.

Fish found, bait chosen. Heres to next time……..
