Top Bruno Médou has just sent us a from his latest to the central ‘’ region of , and rich in waters and renowned for the large that populate its waters.
The region is heavily forested with a large of pines, and as Bruno says it gives it a Canadian feel. The of the setting contributed immensely of the of his .
Bruno had the good to spend his on three different waters, which had never seen anglers before, and was fortunate to bank specimens on all three over the magical 15kg mark (33lb).

My thoughts for next year

When pays a visit to the lake I’m , the water almost overnight becomes as clear as glass making me pay some thought to the on my spools. When choosing I soon came to realise you have to have a good look around as there are so many to choose from. I’ve been using Xline for some time now and I wanted a change so I decided to look at red mist from TF Gear.

Strange Encounters on the Bank

I just got home from a abroad with some friends
When the was getting towards the end something happened too one of the other anglers that shocked me.
On his final a rat got in to his bivvy and was sitting on his face. When he woke up, and tried to scar the rat away it bit him in his ear leaving him devastated.
It was the first time I ever heard about something like this happening to an . But I am sure there are plenty more stories that are similar to this one.

I must say that James Harrison’s ‘A Different Angle’ article in last month’s Carpworld was one of the most original, contumacious pieces of no-nonsense -related pieces of literature I have ever read! A sweeping statement perhaps, but nonetheless, very true. I find when I read -related articles there are often one or two points which start to fire around in my head. The old grey matter starts to wobble and bits from some long-forgotten memory suddenly come back through to the present. I used to be so envious of Jim Gibbinson with his Carpworld column ‘Let Us Talk’. (more…)
