About 10 years ago I started a local lake,..a lake about 8 acre’s in size.At that time the stock level was massive, lots of doubles and twenties. with the odd thirty plus .

The biggest resident at that time weighted 34 lb…a big . Everybody wanted to catch that monster. was fairly easy, days of 5 or more where standard. The loved the anglers bait and kept coming back for it. At that time I did not land the monster, but sadly lost it in of the net twice. Last year I had caught my targetfish from another lake fairly fast. With no direct other option I decided to take a ticket for the lake I fished 10 years ago. After arriving I noticed allot of anglers, but nobody catching .. All the anglers complained, they did not feed..weather was wrong..etc I just started using questbaits at that particular , and it was a good option to test them on these no , weathermoody . After the 1st , using fruitly trifle and smokey I blanked. (more…)

I hate spill! - all those bits of mix flying out of the top of the when you it out, leaving a trail of bait short of the marker float and right where your lines will be when you your out. Watch the Korda Underwater videos and one thing comes across loud and clear - if feed over line (or leadcore / tubing) and pick this up with their lips when they feed they spook straight away, putting other on guard and drastically reducing your chance of a take. Shaun Harrison Interview in Carpology

Friday, April 25th, 2008

Hi All,
An excellent interview with the man himself in this month’s “Carpology” e-newsletter

The e-Newsletter Five-Minute Interview

This week we chat to Baits main man, Shaun Harrison

“Shaun, can you tell our readers what your company has been up to over the past 12 months?”
“Last September we had to move Baits into larger premises. This was our third move in just two years. Everything has moved on at a steady rate since first putting the foundations of Baits together in 2005.”
“We drew up a very precise five year business plan based around my long experience in the trade and I am happy to say everything has gone to plan. This year (2008) was always the year we were going to make the baits much more widely available through a carefully selected range of shops. Leading up to 2008 we had supplied direct from our website www.questbaits.com and purposely kept the baits in just two shops. The Box in Dartford Kent and Walkers of Trowell in Nottingham, the shop I had worked in for 25 years prior to leaving to set this business up.
We have been absolutely delighted with the from the shops after doing a mini nationwide presentation tour. Our baits have been accepted with open arms and the sales so far have been truly staggering considering the time of the year. (more…)
