Good old black eyed beans - another almost forgotten bait. The first carp I ever caught on a hair rig had a black eyed bean hanging on the end of the hair. Black eyed beans are naturally slow sinking so can be useful for offering a visual carpet of bait over silt or silk weed. You can flavour and colour them whichever way you want.
