Garlic Seed
For many years now I have preached the benefit of offering the carp a mixture of food, be it different sized boilies and different flavours through to blends of boilies, pellets and particles. Carp definitely seem to slip up more regularly when combination baits are used. I’m sure it is to do with having to constantly regulate their feeding rather than simply hoovering up lots of the same.
I have blended my own seeds for years rather than purchase ready mixed bird feed type mixes. This way I know that all the seeds are acceptable to the carp. Every seed used has a proven record of catching carp in their own right. This mix is my most successful blend over many years of experiments. To boost the attraction even more we supply a blend of different garlic powders, both soluble and non soluble, ensuring flavour spread as well as retaining a taste within the bait.
This is the same blend that we put into the Garlic Feast - and there is absolutely no denying the effectiveness of that!
Simply soak the seeds over night, bring them to the boil and leave them simmering for 25 minutes.
Transfer them to a clean bucket, add the garlic sachet and stir well whilst the water is still very hot. Put the lid on the bucket with a heavy object on top so that it doesn’t pop-off then leave to cool inside the bucket. Once cool the seeds will be ready to use.
Bait preparation has never been simpler!
