Shaun goes back a long way in carp fishing terms. In fact he goes back to the days when you didn’t buy baits, you listened to whispers, formulated ideas, tracked down ingredients and made baits to your own recipes. In those early days of making pastes, then boilies, there was a learning curve. Like me he probably had a flowerbed in the garden that wouldn’t support plant life because of the failed baits buried under it!

However, Shaun has always been so successful at catching carp that he clearly reached a stage very early on when he knew how to make a bait that caught carp on some of the most pressured waters. Working at Walkers of Trowell tackle shop for almost 26 years will have helped Shaun enormously in his formulation of bait ideas. Daily he will have listened to every possible bait theory, and problem, and will have passed on much of his hard-won experience to customers struggling to make sense of what can be a mysterious jungle.

Now Shaun has decided to get involved in the production of his own range of baits... and I can’t think of a man better qualified to do so. We all have bait-confidence crises - Shaun has the bait knowledge and experience to make the right bait available to each and every one of us. If I get to fish any of the Quest range I will do so with complete confidence. He is one of the old school in the truest sense of the word, and one of the carp scene’s most successful nice guys.

The bait will contain what it is claimed to contain. There will be over 30 years of experience behind its design... and it will catch carp. What more can you ask for from a bait company and its baits?
